Adolf Hitler’s brutal Nazi regime killed upwards of 17 million people. Slaughtered like animals, innocent people of varying races and religious groups were systematically executed over the span of four years. While Nazi Germany ultimately saw its downfall, lasting damages of this terrible time exist in the present time. However during this time period, there were those working tirelessly to help people targeted by the Nazis. Dutch teenager Freddie Oversteegen was such a person. In a move that’d make Quentin Tarantino and the entire Inglorious Basterds cast proud, Freddie set out to not only save innocent people — but also go after Nazis herself as a precocious young adult. The story of Freddie Oversteegen is both shocking and wildly fascinating.
