The 35-Year Mystery Involving ‘Garfield’ Phones and a Coastal French Town Has Finally Been Solved

Garfield the Cat was a lovable cartoon character dating back to the late 1970’s. First beginning as a comic strip, the fictional feline quickly appeared in both television and film. Fans from all over the world loved the lazy cat and his penchant for lasagna.
As we fast-forward roughly 40 years, a small town in France has been mysteriously seeing Garfield merchandise wash up on its shores for decades. For years, no one understood why this was the case. However, in 2019, the breakthrough finally came. We now know the culprit behind this French city and the inordinate amount of Garfield telephones popping up out of the ocean.
